Vehicle Fire Turns Out To Be A Control Burn
Wed, Apr 21st, 2010 8:07:00 am - Chief 34-05 (W Heffner) saw a column of heavy black smoke coming from the area of Manor Road. The Chief contacted County Radio to see if there was any control burns in that area, which there were none reported. Chief 34-05 found the  source of the smoke on Freemans Road, a van and horse trailer were on fire and no one around it. The Chief requested Summit be dispatched to the scene. As the apparatus arrived, a family member arrived also and stated he started the fire as a control burn, but never called it in.
